Can Bacterial Vaginosis cause bumps down there?

Patient

Q: Can Bacterial Vaginosis cause bumps down there?

Doctor

A:   Hello,
Thank you for your medical query at AskTheDoctor.com

I understand your concern.
Although, it is not common, sometimes BV patients will show localised bumps around the vagina.
You need to get it tested by a gynecologist to confirm the diagnosis.
It could also be due to folliculitis, the treatment remains the same, application of Mupirocin ointment on the bumps.

Please consult your physician before starting the treatment.

Hope this was helpful,
Regards
