Can I use metronidazole vaginal gel and telconazole vaginal

Patient

Q: Can I use metronidazole vaginal gel and telconazole vaginal cream at once?

Doctor

A:   Hi,
Thanks for the query.

I understand your concern.
Metronidazole belongs to antibiotics which treats bacterial and protozoal infections.
Whereas terconazole is an antifungal drug and used to treat yeast infections.
The preferable options to you are:
-Taking one drug in oral tablet form and other as local cream.
-Using two drugs as cream and gel with at least 6 to 8 hours gap between them.

Take care.
