Can my 3 month old be teething All other symptoms

Patient

Q: Can my 3 month old be teething. All other symptoms seem normal but he won't stop crying and when I rub his gum he settles a bit and begins chewing my finger. He started drueling a week ago

Doctor

A:   Thank you for writing to us.

The first teeth usually appear at 6 months of age. But it is possible at an early age and some children are born with teeth. Anyway, the phase is temporary and their is not much to worry about. Please see a Doctor if the child's behavior continues to remain changed.

Hope this helps you.
