HPV are viruses that are known to cause warts, they can be oral, genital or anywhere in the body. The warts are not life threatening although can spread easily and cause irritation. However, HPV have also known to cause oral cancer, genital cancers, cervical cancers in females and even other opportunistic infections. If left undiagnosed and untreated they can be fatal.
