Car accident whilst pregnant

Patient

Q: I am 9 weeks pregnant and have a history of miscarriage (I have three healthy children, but my last 3 pregnancies have ended in miscarriage). I had a car accident tow days ago, but I felt fine at the time and so didn't immediately seek medical attention. That evening I began spotting, and I assumed I was having yet another miscarriage. The spotting stopped within 24hrs though. Now I feel exhausted and breathless, but am in no pain. I realise that I do need to see a doctor at some point, but I was unsure whether I need to attend to this issue more urgently?

Kind regards,

Rebecca.
