Patient :We had sex with a condom on Sunday Feb. 8th. The condom broke, but I'm pretty positive I pulled out in time. She says she's been on birth control, which she showed me a picture, but she missed 5 pills the first week. However the good news is that she took pills for 15 straight days before the sex occurred (28 day pack). It's Lo Loestrin Fe, and it says it becomes active after 7 days of usage. I bought her Plan B, but she didn't take it because she claimed the birth control already made her sick. Anyways, on Friday, she texted me and said she had her period. But she told me initially that she had her period a week before we had sex, so I don't know what to believe for sure. The fact that she had her period on Friday links up perfectly with the picture she sent me of the birth control, but it only lasted for a day. I read on the birth controls website that you have shorter, lighter periods while on it, so I suppose it makes sense.. Anyways, we took a pregnancy test that can detect up to 4 days before a missed period, and it came out negative. What do you guys think is going on? Should I just forget about this and move on, or is there something to be worried about?
