Chicken bone splinter in throat

Patient: Hi I just ate some chicken and I think I have a small chicken bone splinter stuck in the back of my throat or tongue because I’m feeling a sharp pain there sometimes when I move my tongue, What do you recommend I do? Thanks.

Doctor: I would suggest that you see a otolaryngologist/ENT doctor for further evaluation. A laryngoscopy may be needed to visua lize the cause to throat pain.
