Chronic back itchiness

Patient : Hello, I suffer from a chronic itchy back with no rash. It is so severe; it feels like I'm being stabbed with needles - constantly. It's causing me all kinds of mood swings, depression, and anxiety. I've seen a range of doctor; dermatologist, neurologists, and I've done PT. Nothing helped. This itchiness has been with for a really long time (I'm in my 50s) but it has worsened in the last 10 years. I refuse to believe this is untreatable, please advise. Thank you so much!
