Patient : I have been dealing with chronic posterior shoulder subluxations in my right shoulder for 3 years now due to a fall in hockey. I also have long thoracic nerve palsy that has been getting a litttle bit better. I still have winging in my scapula that occurs. I have had 2 MRI's and a couple of X-Rays and nothing abnormal came up on them except for some arthritis in my AC joint. I have had some anti inflamatory prescription medication but it didnt help much with the pain. I have been doing Physical therapy for about 2 years and counting. I have been using an NMES unit for a couple of weeks now to get my muscles firing on my scapula. My shoulder constantly feels unstable. What could be wrong?! How can I fix this?? Its very painful. Please help. Im almost 18 years old and will be going to college next year and I really want to play college sports. But this injury has effected my playing ability. I throw really side arm in softball, never uused to before, it hurts too much to throw over hand. I feel tingling down my arm and in my hand and in my ring and pinky finger. And effects my shooting ability in hockey. Please help. I am very worried about my shoulder now and in the long run. I dont know what to do anymore!
