Coming off birth control to get pregnant

Patient: How long does it take for birth control to get completely out of ones system?

Doctor: Though it takes 24-48 hours for the hormones of the blood control pill to be out of the system, however it may take 1-2 cycles before regular ovulation takes place. Generally the middle of the menstrual cycle is when ovulation and potential conception is most likely to take place.
