Consuming rhubarb and kidney compromise

Patient: Is rhubarb sauce harmful if you have kidney problems?

Doctor: I realize how worried you are about rhubarb sauce and possible effect on a compromised kidney. I would only suggest you to avoid this herb if you are prone to develop or had a history of kidney stones. This herb contains calcium oxalate which is very common in producing kidney stones. I hope I cleared your doubt.
