Patient: Why would I have continued symptoms of hypoglycemia even when I eat well and often? My symptoms occur and continue with little relief whether I eat or not! I do not eat sugar (except maybe once a month), I very rarely eat wheat (I eat spelt instead as it is healthier), and I eat mostly a diet rich in proteins and vegetables with many of the lower-sugar fruits. I know that when I went on a non-carbohydrate and sugarless diet for about 3 months my symptoms decreased significantly, I lost 15 lbs, and I felt full of energy. However, there were a few symptoms that continued despite my efforts, including excessive sweating, facial flushing, nervousness and anxiety.
