Coughing up green/brownish phlegm for the past 3-4 weeks

Patient : I've been coughing up green/brownish phlegm for the past 3-4 weeks. I am a medicinal smoker, so i'm used to seeing brownish phelm when i get colds. Okay so I had what appeared to be a common cold or maybe a sinus infection at the start. My other symptoms far as scratchy throat, runny nose and headaches are gone but i am still coughing up this phlegm and it seems like i will never get done getting it out. I was wondering now should I resort to antibiotics since it's been so long or what?
