Could I be pregnant? Help!

Patient : Hi- I'm questioning weather I'm pregnant or not but think it might be too soon to take a test. I had unprotected sex a little over a month ago during a lapse in my birth control pills (I hadn't been on them in about a week or maybe 2, I can't remember exactly) Since then, a little under a month ago, I had what I thought was my period but now I'm questioning it. I had cramping and bled for MAYBE 2 days, but wasn't heavy. But now since then I've been experiencing headaches, lower back pain, and my breasts have been swollen and sore for about 2 weeks or so. I've also been feeling dizzy occasionally and occasional nauseousness but no actual morning sickness. Could this be pregnancy? Is it too soon to take an at home pregnancy test? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you!
