Could this be endometriosis

Patient

Q: Hi The past few months I have been suffering from pain in my right shoulder for about 2 days every couple of weeks. Even sleeping is made difficult as I can't lie on my right side for a few nights as it is so uncomfortable. I've recently been diagnosed with pcos and have just finished my first month of taking dianette. Despite this my "period" has been extremely heavy and one of the most painful I've experienced. Could my shoulder pain be related to my painful periods? I'm only 19 years old but have been suffering from irregular, painful and heavy periods for the last 4 years. Just recently the pain has become truly unbearable moving from my abdomen down into my vulva and from my back into my bottom. My mother has endometriosis so could this be a possibility?
