Patient : I am a 16 year old high school junior, and I was classified as a gifted student while in elementary school. I always had straight A's, but this year I am nearly failing all of my classes. As a young child I would always start books, but I could never finish them. I never bothered to study either, and I still don't, even when I need to. I've always been unorganized. I always set goals but I always fail to meet them. I procrastinate to the point where it interferes with every aspect of my life. I rush into relationships that don't last long simply because I hate being alone. I've always been extremely shy and socially isolated. I've never had many friends. I'm often very forgetful of important details. The list goes on and on. Is there something psychological that could be causing me all of these problems?
