CPAP for Nasal Congestion?

Patient: Had nose cauterized 3 months ago now have bad cold stuffy nose can I use my cpap machine or a nasal spray so I can get some much needed rest.

Doctor: The CPAP machine is not the best choice to help your nasal congestion. Nasal decongestants such as Otrivin nasal spray, Sudafed nasal decongestant or Mucinex will help to relieve your symptoms an allow you to sleep. CPAP machine is not indicated for use to relieve nasal congestion
