Craving terricotta clay

Q: I frequently crave substances such as dirt, rocks, sand, and even drywall. I've been told this is most likely pica. I haven't talked to any doctors or gotten a medical diagnosis about it, but I only crave earthy type things. Not long ago I discovered eating terricotta clay (still soft and moist, not fired/baked). I don't crave anything else when I have access to the clay, and I crave it in pretty large amounts. I eat about a handful a day. This clay is made for pottery, and seems really clean. But I'm concerned about it building up in my digestive system or causing other problems... I try to drink water every time I eat it to try to dilute it, but not as much as I probably should. I just don't know if terricotta is harmful to eat, and all I've seen in research is information on white dirt and living clay- never terricotta clay. I really hope that a real doctor will read this, because I can't ask anyone else and don't have the means to go see a doctor or nurse in person...
