Last night around 9 pm my 17 month old daughter woke up crying and my wife rushed into her bedroom. My daughter had vomited all over her crib. She continued to vomit constantly every 45 minutes for the next 4-5 hours.
This was the first time my wife and I had experienced our child being really sick. It was now 1 am and my wife and I got really worried as our daughter would still not stop vomiting. We considered rushing her to the emergency room.
Fortunately, before we decided to take her, I consulted with my older brother who is an Emergency Physician. Below is the conversation I had with my brother, Dr. Pankaj Chand M.D.
As you have read in the conversation above, my brother was able to put our families mind at ease. He reassured us that we didn’t need to go to the emergency room in the middle of the night and he gave us all the advice we needed to get our daughter through the next day.
The problem is I am in the the 0.1% of people in this world that have the luxury of having immediate access to a top quality physician. We at Ask The Doctor will change this….Connecting the world to healthcare one day at a time.
