Dear Howard, My left side shoulder had shoulder cuff tear

Patient

Q: Dear Howard,
My left side shoulder had shoulder cuff tear about 12 years ago due to weight lifting in gym. doctor told me not to move the arm and shoulder and i kept it in sling for about three weeks.he gave me some anti-inflamation meds. however it was sever pain at night. and then my shoulder got frozen (jammed). i could not move my arm like the other arm. after that i visited another doctor and he told me to move hand in towards the dircection in which it pains more. i started doing it and then movement was restored, however still when i move my arm in certain directions, there is a sliding and snapping sound inside and there is pain too alonwith the snapping sound. moreover i feel the arm still weak. at this stage is there possibility that my shoulder is restored back to normal? i am 30 years old.

thanks in advance
