Degenerative ACL and Lateral Meniscus

Q: Hello! I tore my acl and meniscus on my left knee playing soccer and had surgery 9 months ago with my hamstring graft and sewing my meniscus back together. Recently I experienced pain and went to the doctor and he told me I had a degenerative lateral meniscus and degenerative acl. I didn't knew what that would mean exactly, and my question is that I have laid off working out on my legs and jogging for a month now and the pain almost entirely stopped. I was wondering if and when I can work out on my legs again to get more muscle in and possibly play soccer again when I'm ready.
I'm a 19 years old male.
