Patient

Q: Tell me what you know about Degenerative Disc Disease?

Doctor

A:   Hi, degenerative disc disease is one of the most common cause of low back pain (lumber degenerative disc disease) , and neck pain(cervical degenerative disc disease). Disc degeneration is actually normal part of aging and over time all people will exhibit changes in their discs consistently. However not all will develop symptoms. This can be treated without surgery successfully. One or combination of treatments such as physical therapy, cheriopractic manipulative therapy, osteopathic manipulation, anti-inflammatory medications, traction, spinal injections. surgery is indicated if symptoms are not subsided with in 2/3 months.
