You can rule out twin pregnancies as early as 5-6 weeks with an experienced physician. Most commonly during 15- 20 weeks a best view of the gestational sac and also the sex of the babies can be known. I would suggest you to wait until 15 weeks of pregnancy to rule out a possible twin pregnancy.
