Patient: My only Question is: In medical management of a patient in DKA how often are arterial blood gases monitored?

 

 

Doctor: HiDKA is a medical emergency, patient should be treated in ICU. IV fluids, insulin and electrolyte management is the m ain part of the treatment. ABG should be monitored as per requirement from every fourly to twice daily. In ABG -PH, Po2, co2, hco3 and electrolytes are measuredregards
