Patient : My son has diabetes type 1. We notice that after he gets sick (cold, flu, etc.) and is well again; his blood sugar runs lower, we have to reduce the amount of insulin he normally gets. It usually lasts for a few weeks after.
Question: Is it possible that he is making his own insulin?
