Diabetic's Body response after a huge scare.

Patient

Q: Background: Male 52 yrs old. Type 2 diabetes diagnosed somewhere between 1995-1998 after a car accident that scared him tremendously. Today 2/18/2015 he was assaulted with a weapon on hand, was about to be kidnapped but was rescued by a local shop owner. His adrenaline is decreasing to a normal level and i am expecting his body to react to this huge scare. Currently HIS left eye is hurting and he is sleeping in a sofa as i type. My question is: Is there any recommendations to follow other than keeping phones ready for 911. He checked his "sugar level" or something like that with a machine puncturing finger, marked 150. Anything I should be worried about?

Symptoms:  Left eye hurts, sugar level at 150
