Diazepam as an antidepressant.

Patient: Can diazepam be used as an antidepressant?

 

 

Doctor: Diazepam is a benzodiazepine and is used in cases of anxiety, seizures of muscle spasms. Usage of diazepam can lead to a ddiction. Side effects include confusion, fatigue, excitability, problems in balancing, nausea, vomiting, decreased sleep.
