Patient : I have a friend who I think may have had a stroke. He told me the symptoms he suffered on this past Monday night 2-13-2012. A feeling of something breaking loose in his head, he immediately lost consciousness for 10 minutes, his face was extremely red. When he woke up his vision was blurry and he was very dizzy. He had been straining physically with something heavy when that happened. Friday night 2-17-2012, his vision is still blurry. He did not go to a hospital, no medical exams or anything have been done. I'm worried that he may still have bleeding which could cause damage or death. From this, does it sound like a stroke? He is only 26, a little overweight maybe 20 pounds, doesn't smoke but uses smokeless tobacco, is around smoke sometimes. I didn't notice any slurred speech, he didn't mention any paralysis, he may be a little confused but I'm not certain. He says he rested for a couple of days after the incident, but I think he needs to have some scans.
