Patient :I had meniscus surgery on my right knee on the 13th of March. I still cannot bare weight on my leg or step down fully on my heel. On my post op appointment with my knee surgeon, i cried to him that i cannot walk, and I'm in incredible pain. After removing my stitches, he assured me that i overdid it and would be fine in a week or so. Then he sent me to physical therapy, which made my knee and calf and thigh pain unbearable. After two days laying in bed crying with pain radiating through my entire leg and my calf swelled up twice the size as my left calf. The ER thought it might be a blood clot since my leg and calf were HUGE. They did blood work, ruled out infection, they didn't see any blood clots, and the X rays looked normal. They contacted my surgeon and explained to him that my leg was Huge and they thought it might be knee effusion. My surgeon ordered the ER to give me a prescription for Naproxen, Valium, and percocet and told me i had an emergency appointment first thing in the morning with my surgeon. So, he tries draining my knee and barely anything comes out. He told me he has no clue what the issue is. I begged and pleaded for him to help me. Once he found out that i had more extensive knee surgery on my left knee before and didn't even need pain pills after that surgery, he finally realized I wasn't joking, so he finally ordered me another MRI but it wont be for another 2 weeks. He still ordered me to remain going to my physical therapy appointments but each time i go, i end up worse. I've tried doing small exercises at home and massaging every single muscle on my leg with sports creams, just in case it might be muscle related. Nothing works and I can't take this pain anymore. I'm helpless and in dire need of some advice. please
