Dis solvable stitch remaining

Q: Hi,

My 1 year old infant had a cut on his upper lip, right side. He had two dis solvable stitches on it which were white in color. In few hours of that one stitch got open and their was bleeding. The doctor again stitched this time with thicker dis solvable stitch. In 2-3 days the thicker stitches got vanished, but its 2 weeks now and that one tiny white stitch still holds with a loose knot. After 4 days I showed the doctor and the wound was completely healed. And he said to wait for the stitch to remove. Anyway please guide and advice what could be done now. As their is little redness sometimes and sometime little erupted skin.

Thanks very much!!
