Do I have an unusual form of shingles?

Patient

Q: For 9 months I have had constant tingling sensation, raised swelling (sometimes slightly red) and rashes. The rashes and raised red patches sometimes dry up and peel off lightly. I have been treated with floxicillin and fucidin which controls the swellings and rashes fairly well, but has done nothing for tingling. I haven't had a cold sore but had a few red areas around the corners of my mouth. The latest treatment I had was antivirals, aclovir, but the tingling did not get much better and is getting worse, causing some discomfort in episodes. Tingling usually gets worse throughout the day and in the evening. I feel very depressed. This has put my whole life on hold this year. I haven't socialised or dated and am worried I have an incurable, untreatable condition. What is wrong with me?
