Do I have depression and do I need professional help?

Q: Do I have depression and do I need professional help?

I am 21. My father died 8 years ago. I have had a huge lack of motivation to do anything or succeed since that happened. I don't open up to people or discuss problems with them. When feeling stressed, I shut down completely; I become unresponsive, lethargic, lazy. I have constant paranoia. I feel like I've never been happy ever in my life. I require more than 8 hours of sleep every night to avoid feeling cranky or stressed out.

I can provide more details if needed, I'm not sure what else I should say.

Thank you.
