Do I Need Plan B

Patient

Q: I missed three Gildess oral contraceptive pills this month, right before Week 3. I took my Gildess pills at the same time every day for the month otherwise, including seven pills in a row (Week 3). I am currently on my period and my week off, starting a new pack Sunday. I had sex the day before yesterday. Should I take Plan B just in case, or am I protected?

Symptoms:  Birth control, period, contraceptives, plan b
Doctor

A:   Hello,
Thanks for the query.

There is no need for you to take plan b as you were on your cycles and the pill as well. Thus, there is no chance of a pregnancy.

Hope this helped.
Regards
