Ear Pain

Patient

Q: I went cliff diving today and did not plug my nose. I felt water go up my nose and had severe ear pain after. It has started to dissipate, but there is still pain in both ears, and is very extreme when I burp or sneeze. This happened about 3-4 hours ago. I have used some swimmers ear drops, but the drops haven't seemed to do much. Is this just swimmers ear or could it be a ruptured ear drum?
