Eight year old mental health advice
Dear Ask The Doctor: My daughter who is now 8 has been worrying me. She has been very annoying to others and myself shows no sign of respect. She starts screaming in places when theres alot of people around seems like anexiety attacks. She cries about not having friends because she has a hard time making them probaly due to her behavior escalating. She doesnt give up on anything, breathes heavy when she has an accident or cant do something. Im begining to worry that it may be mental. She often pushy and annoys people for fun and gets to the point where I screaming and she still doesnt stop. Does this sound like normal 8 year old behavior her dads side has more than one member with mental illness, and his mother has ocd. How do I go about getting her check examined for proper treatment and help if needed? Her grades are dropping big time as well:(
