Elderly man loses conciounsenss after sitting help!
Patient : I am trying to help out my 87 year old Grandfather. He has "episodes" where he loses consciousness while standing, they last about 10 seconds. This happens every day. It only happens after he gets up from a seated position. He stares off and needs something to brace himself on so he won't fall. He has been to an ENT and his doc said he may have Parkinson's and prescribed L-dopa. This does not help. He also has metal screws in his fead from WWII. I was wondering if this may be a cause or a seizure? Please provide me with any feedback.
