Emergency Contraceptives

Patient

Q: Can drinking hot Guinness prevent pregnancy? I have heard it doe and I would like to do it if it does.

Doctor

A:   Hi,
Thanks for the query.

I understand your concern.
There are no sufficient scientific studies to confirm the effect of hot Guinness in preventing pregnancy.
The better ways of prevention of pregnancy are taking emergency contraceptive pill within 72 hours of unprotected intercourse or getting IUCD inserted within 120 hours of unprotected intercourse.
So, better to choose one of these methods.

Take care.
