Emotions after anti depressant cessation


Q: 3 Months ago I took my last dose of anti depressants (zoloft) after 19 years of therapy. I experienced the syndrome attached to cessation and it has passed. Now I am concerned about my emotions and feelings that I am experiencing now. I am having deep emotional feelings for my girlfriend that I have never felt before. I have always loved her, but while on medication I could not commit to her. Now I am so in love with her, but she is being very cautious with me because I wouldn't commit before. Because of this my focus at work is not where it should be, and I am having difficulty carrying on a normal day to day life. Are these strong feelings real, and am I experiencing feelings and emotions that I wasn't capable of while taking zoloft? Also in the middle of this I quit smoking for over 3 weeks with no intention of ever smoking again.
