ESA with Aplastic Anemia

Q: I have aplastic anemia. Mr friend told me about a drug he heard about known as ESA (Erythropoiesis-stimulating agents). I googled it and found that it has been used in patients who have anemia due to cancer and other reasons, but never for aplastic anemia. Why so? Would it be useful for aplastic anemia? P
