Recovery will vary depending on the type of surgical procedure. Laparoscopic (key hole) surgery has a shorter recovery time than open surgery. If you had laparoscopic surgery then you could start an low intensity exercise routine as early as 2 weeks after surgery. However, if you had open surgery, you should allow 4-6 weeks before physical exercise.
