Extreme back pain...couldn't walk

Patient : I play volleyball and soccer. I have been injured a lot, but about a week ago, I was walking down the hall, and suddenly I feel a piercing pain that started in my lower back and ran down my right leg. I tried to put weight on my right foot, but it hurt so much. I've never experienced pain that strong where I literally could not put weight on my foot. It went away after about ten seconds. This seemed extremely strange to me. Also, I'm only sixteen years old. I've hurt my back several times from volleyball, but this is different. Any suggestions?
