Failure to thrive info

Q: My granddaughter was taken away from her mother for failure to thrive,at the age of 7 months, she was not being fed, she was in the 5%. My son now has custody of her she is 19 months old and at 17 months old she was in the 50%. We have noticed that if she is taken off her schedule(regular nap and bedtimes that she will get sick, infections bladder etc. The Social worker that we dealt with to get her into my sons custody says that due to her failure to thrive while with her mother she has a compromized immune system. Are there any medical articles that will back this up, so that when we go to court for final parenting access for her mother she wont be able to upset the childs schedule. The judge has ordered that visitation with the mother must be supervised and she is not to see the child alone.
