Patient :Hello, I recently had a blood test to see if I had diabetes. Due to quite a strong fear of needles I ended up eating very little the day before the blood test and nothing in the morning before it. I did have some sugar in hot drinks that morning. My results came back within the normal range, but is there a chance I have had a false negative due to my reduced sugar intake prior to the blood test?
