False Negative quantative blood test, is it possible?

Patient

Q: Can a quantative blood pregnancy test be wrong? My last period started on either December 5th or 6th, I am now about 10 days late, urine tests came out negative so I went for a quantative blood test Wednesday (January 8th) which was also negative (less than 1). I still do not have my period, and I have read online about different women who have tested negative on both blood and urine tests only to find out months later that they are 6 or more months pregnant. Is this actually possible ? ?? Is there a good chance of it. Happening to me? The doctors I have seen have never heard of this and said it is impossible but I am just wondering if other doctors have heard of this happening . Thanks
