Fever and chills after c-section

Patient : I had a repeat Csection one week ago and starting two days ago I have been having body aches and intermittent low grade fever 99.5 to 99.8F on oral thermometer and I usually run about 97.5F. The fever and aches have responded every time to 400mg ibuprofen. Twice I have had severe chills which disappeared by themselves after about an hour. I also have a very mild headache which responds to the ibuprofen also. I talked to my doctor last night who told me that if the fever and chills continue I should got to the ER to be checked for infection. The fever has not returned but my temp is slightly higher than normal 98.8F this morning and I have neck, back, and shoulder pain mild achy pain and slight headache again this morning. My lower abdomen is slightly sore but much better than after surgery and I have no pain with urination. I do get some pain when I have to pass gas but it resolves immediately. I have some vaginal discharge but it is similar to what I experienced after my last c-section and I have not noticed a foul odor although it does have a very slight odor like sweat. My question is should I go to the ER to be checked even if I don't have a fever anymore? This does not seem at all like my last recovery from c-section.
