Flu symptoms, fever, swollen gums

Patient: Hello!I have flu like symptoms: bad body aches, headache, feel very hot, I have a 101.6 fever, swollen gums, and a canker sore inside my mouth. The canker sore showed up a week before the onset of flu symptoms. In the course of an hour or two I went from feeling totally fine to feeling really sick. When I push on my sinuses they hurt a lot. My teeth upper & lower hurt too. I’m a 28 yr old female. What sickness could this be?Thanks for your help!

Symptoms: Bad body aches, mouth pain, swollen gums, fever (101.6), canker sores, sinus pain, very mild sore throat (gone now), teeth pain, hot sweaty feeling

Doctor: I can understand, flu like condition really troubles. Most likely you are suffering from a viral infection. These are se lf limiting, last for about a week and requires treatment only for symptomatic relief. My suggestion is take good rest, plenty of oral fluids and balance diet. Maintain good hygiene & avoid oily spicy food. Monitor your condition, do not self medicate and consult your physician for further evaluation & treatment.Meanwhile, for the canker sore any mouth ulcer gel can be applied and steam inhalation will help in relieving sinus pain & heaviness
