Patient : I have been running and hiking for many years, but just recently 3 to 4 weeks I have been experiencing pain after a couple of miles on the top of my right foot just under the toes. The foot is tender and visably bruise. I have not dropped anything on it, I have the correct fit of shoe which I replace every 3 to 6 months, and I warm up and cool down before every race, run or hike. Once I have stopped running or walking I feel no pain unless I touch the bruise. I half marathon in February and thats a long way if it starts at mile two.
