General advice about pregnancy

Patient : There is a federal law that gives women 12 weeks of maternity leave and the fathers as well, but the leave is unpaid. I live in a poor area of the country where women who are pregnant cannot afford to take off this time. They are working right up to the due dates and returning to work before the recommended 6 weeks of recovery after pregnancy is finished. Could you share the possible health problems that may be associated with women not having adequate time to recover from giving birth, the possible health problems for the babies, and what about the emotional bonding time between mother and child, not to mention the father?
