Patient : I'm a 47 year old man in decent shape ( 5'11", 210 lbs), walk regularly, 40 push ups a morning, etc.. I started coaching basketball and have been running with the team. I experience some pretty severe heal pain a few hours after practice or more typically the pain comes the next morning. It works itself out eventually, and the shoes I have are running shoes that are less than a year old. Should I be concerned? Will this eventually go away or get worse? Are there exercises I need to do?
