Patient :Hello Doctor,
My glucose test results declared 368 for Glucose Fasting and 497 for Glucose(PP). Doctor here told me to take Glimestar PM1. Will it suffice? Would there be any side effects?

Fasting blood sugar should be less than 110 mg/dL and postprandial blood sugar should be less than 140 mg/dL.
GLIMESTAR PM 1MG TABS contains GLIMEPIRIDE 1 MG + PIOGLITAZONE 15 MG + METFORMIN 500 MG.
Take the drug then repeat both fasting and postprandial blood sugar levels after 5 days and accordingly your physician will titrate your medications.
Side effects that you may experience are Vomiting, GI pain, diarrhoea, pruritus, erythema, urticaria, morbilliform, maculopapular eruptions, leukopenia, agranulocytosis, thrombocytopenia, haemolytic anaemia, aplastic anaemia and pancytopenia, hyponatraemia, changes in accommodation, blurred vision, jaundice.
Diarrhea, vomiting and infection, Accidental injury, headache and infection, Indigestion and nausea.
